Scott & Adam Crigger win McDermott–Carstens Fest Congratulations to Scott and Adam Crigger who brought in a 5 fish limit weighing 12.03 lbs to grab 1st place money in the tournament as well as securing the Skeeter Boat "Real Money Bonus" that was available . Jerry French and Frank DeCastaker finished 2nd with 10.97 lbs. Mike Fuller caught a 4.00 lb. largemouth for the Big Bass of the tournament. Jeff Buckles takes home the 3ft. tall "Rough Fish Trophy" for his 10lb+ Northern Pike. Due to low water levels at the Palisades State Park boat ramps, the launch ramp for the Thursday morning tournament, scheduled for August 13th, 2009, has been moved to the Savanna city boat ramp. The Quad City Bass Club "TUG" Open Tournament will be held in LeClaire, Iowa, Saturday July 25, 2009. Entry forms may be viewed and printed (click here), also on the QCBC website, or by stopping at K&K Hardware in Bettendorf.
In conjunction with the " TUG , the QCBC will be having their annual children's fishing derby. SIGN UP will be from 8:30 - 9:00 with the fishing from 9:00 - 11:00. ALL KIDS FISHING RECEIVE PRIZES FOR SIGNING UP AND ALL WILL GET A PRIZE AFTERWARDS. Hot dogs, chips and water will be served. The Quad City Bass Club goes all out for this community event and we request you spread the news of the KID'S DERBY TO YOUR FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS AND ACQUAINTANCES. EVERYONE IS INVITED!!!!

The Harvester Bass Club President has sent the following letter to the editor of the Dispatch/Argus, on June 3rd, 2009, addressing recent issues raised during our hosting of the 3rd annual Red Cross Charity Tournament.
On May 30th, 2009 the Harvester Bass Club hosted the 3rd annual Red Cross Charity Tournament out of LeClaire, Iowa. This is the 2nd year the HBC has hosted this event. The tournament raised $3500 for the local Red Cross. (click here for complete message)
