This week’s show
is a little
different for
us. We always
plan our filming
trips on public
waters that
anyone can fish.
This show,
however, is more
about summer
techniques than
lake location.
We filmed on a
private,
residential
lake, Lake
Thunderbird,
only 20 minutes,
or so, from Time
on the Water
Outdoors.
Thunderbird is a
great lake. It’s
located between
Spring Valley
and Peoria on RT
29 and offers
great fishing
for just about
any species. As
usual, we were
fishing for bass
and we caught a
lot. Top water
action is always
fun and there
was plenty of
it. For anyone
thinking about a
getaway place,
not far from
Chicago or the
Quad Cities,
take a look at
Lake
Thunderbird.
Fishing lots are
very affordable
and plenty of
building lots
exist as well.
